Isa 25:4 For You have been a strength to the poor, A strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
Isa 25:5 You will reduce the noise of aliens, As heat in a dry place; As heat in the shadow of a cloud, The song of the terrible ones will be diminished.
Isa 25:6 And in this mountain The LORD of hosts will make for all people A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees.

Are you poor? Make God your stronghold. Are you needy and in distress? Make Him your hiding-place. Does the storm beat on you? Flee to Him for refuge. Axe you scorched by the heat of temptation? Stand beneath His shadow. God your Father will not leave you alone. Your need is your best argument; your helplessness an all-sufficient plea. For you, too, there shall be song and feasting (Isa_25:4-6).

QUESTION: Is it true that the blood of Christ is still flowing in Israel today? If so, where?
ANSWER: The blood of Christ is not physically and literally flowing today anywhere! Symbolically, it flows into all the world today in the sense that it continues to cleanse obedient man from sin and will do so until the end of time (Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 9:14-15)!

"Pray without ceasing." This command is not requiring the incessant reciting of prayers. Rather, it is a call to a way of living: "continuing steadfastly in prayer" (Rom_12:12). Praying without ceasing is an attitude of the heart, as well as an addressing of prayers consistently to the Lord. To pray without ceasing is to have the inner man focused in humble dependence upon the Lord, while consistently addressing actual prayers to the Lord.

QUESTION: Why did Moses and Elijah appear with Christ at the transfiguration?
ANSWER: The purpose of the transfiguration is very significant to us today! Moses represented the “law” and Elijah represented the “prophets.” When God said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him” (Matthew 17:5), He was saying that, under the New Testament dispensation, we are not to hear and obey Moses and Elijah (the Old Testament, i.e., the law and the prophets), but, rather, we are to hear and obey Jesus Christ, God’s beloved Son! The Old Testament (represented by Moses and Elijah) would be fulfilled with the death of Christ and taken out of the way (Colossians 2:14).

QUESTION: Why was the transfiguration not a strange thing to Christ?
ANSWER: Because He was God (John 1:1) it would not be a strange thing, since He was very familiar with miracles (John 11:47; John 12:37). Not only this, but He, being eternal (Micah 5:2; John 8:58) as God, was very familiar with Moses and Elijah, before and after their deaths. And, certainly, it would not be strange for the Son to hear His Father’s words!
