PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank Thee for Thy forgiving, pitying love. I gratefully realise that my sin cannot alter Thy love, though it may dim my enjoyment of it. But I pray Thee to set me free from the love and power of sin, that it may not intercept the light of Thy countenance. In Jesus name AMEN.

CONFESSING OUR SINS
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."-- 1Jo_1:8-9.
TO SIN is to miss the mark! Such is the meaning of the original word.
When the prodigal returned, his first words were; "Father, I have missed the mark." Are we not always missing the mark, coming short? Sin is negative as well as positive. In our lives, "We have done the things that we ought not; we have left undone the things that we ought to have done." Sin consists, not only in the positive transgression of the law of God, but in the want of conformity to His Will. It is needful to use this two-pronged fork. If a number of men are on their way to the recruiting-station and the standard is to be exactly six foot. They are all under that height, but the tallest of them glories in the fact that he is a clear two inches above the rest of his fellows. It may be so, but he will be as certainly rejected as the shortest, because even he comes below the standard. You may be better than scores of people in your circle, but you will need Christ's forgiveness and salvation equally with the worst!

COMMUNION AND TRANSFORMATION
"Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him."-- Exo_34:29.
"We all, with unveiled face reflecting as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image."-- 2Co_3:18.
MOSES, AS he returned from the mountain of vision, where he had beheld as much of God's glory as seems possible to man, caught some gleam of the Light which he beheld. There was a strange radiance on his face, unknown to himself, but visible to all. He remained long enough in the presence of God to become saturated with the light and glory of the Lord. What wonder that he sparkled with it and was compelled to cover his face with a veil!
Paul refers to this incident, and show that the light which shone upon the face of Moses is the symbol of the lustre of character which shines from those who behold or reflect the glory of the Lord. As we behold the glory shining in the face of Jesus Christ, we are changed into His likeness.
There are two laws for Christian living: keep looking at Jesus until you become like Him, and beholding are changed into the same image; then reflect Him to others, and as you endeavour to reflect Him, the work of transformation goes on. "Tell me the company a man keeps, and I will tell you his character"; so runs the old proverb.

QUESTION: Are all of the teachings of Christ to be found in the Bible?
ANSWER:Yes! Further, to add words to the Bible is sinful (Revelation 22:18); to take words away from it is sinful (Revelation 22:19); and to change it in any way is sinful! Those who do so are to be accursed (Galatians 1:6-9)! Anything outside of God’s Word, even if it be at the direction of today’s Pastors, Priests, Bishops, Archbishops, Cardinals, and Popes, is nothing but the doctrines and commandments of fallible men, and when obeyed will result in sin through vain and empty worship. Such organizations are to be rooted up in the last day! (Matthew 15:3-14).

QUESTION: Where was Jesus’ spirit while His body was in the grave?
ANSWER: He was in Paradise. “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43). We note that after He had arisen, He appeared to Mary and said, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father” (John 20:17). Clearly then, He was not in heaven during the three days. Neither was He in the place of eternal torment. The Greek word “hades” in the King James Version is most often translated as “hell” and very often does not refer to the place of eternal torment. For example, Acts 2:27 In reference to Jesus, the passage says, “Because thou will not leave my soul in “hell” (Hades) ...” So with consideration to each of these passages, we learn that Jesus was in Paradise or Hades! Hades is the place of departed spirits. The righteous, upon death, go to a place in Hades called Paradise or Abraham’s bosom (Luke 16:22). The unrighteous go to a different place in Hades; a place of torments (Luke 16:19-31). In 2 Peter 2:4, this place of torments is called Hell. The Greek word for Hell in this passage is Tartarus. Both the spirits of the righteous and the unrighteous dead will remain in the Hadean world (in either Paradise or Tartarus) to await the resurrection and final Judgement. After Judgment, the righteous will go to Heaven and the unrighteous will go to Hell, the place of eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46). The Greek word translated Hell that designates the final place of the wicked is Gehenna!

Just had a bad item come up on slide show. Had to delete, I had sunrises and they are very nice to look at, some how a youg lady was slipped in. I hope no one was to offened. I am sorry this was not something I wanted on this blog. Until I can get google assurance this will not happen again I will not have slide show on. QUESTION: Why couldn’t Jesus have destroyed the disease of sin that has plagued our spiritual lives?
ANSWER: Jesus is God (John 1:1) and is, therefore, all-powerful! He does not, however, exercise His power according to man’s timetable. When the father of sin (Satan) is finally destroyed at the end of all things (Revelation 20:10), then sin too, will have been destroyed. The coming of that day will be determined only by the God of heaven (Matthew 24:36). God created each of us as free moral agents with the choice of serving Him or serving sin (Romans 6:16). He temporarily allows sin to exist so that you and I may prove our love to Him by the proper exercise of the choice He has given us. The fact of the existence of sin in this life does not mean that it will or should plague our lives! We can overcome it by destroying the “body of sin” in our scriptural obedience to Him (Romans 6:1-18).

In heaven there shall be no interruptions from care or sin; no weeping shall dim our eyes; no earthly business shall distract our happy thoughts; we shall have nothing to hinder us from gazing for ever on the Sun of Righteousness with unwearied eyes. Oh, if it be so sweet to see him now and then, how sweet to gaze on that blessed face for aye, and never have a cloud rolling between, and never have to turn one’s eyes away to look on a world of weariness and woe! Blest day, when wilt thou dawn? Rise, O unsetting sun! The joys of sense may leave us as soon as they will, for this shall make glorious amends. If to die is but to enter into uninterrupted communion with Jesus, then death is indeed gain, and the black drop is swallowed up in a sea of victory.

Sunday morning- the first day of our week- The first day of week is the Lord's day. What are we to do? First we can start by getting our minds on worship. Does going to church for an hour let us off the hook? Are we to worship each time the doors of church are open? What about the sick, the elderly, the poor, are they not always with us? Should we only think about these items on Sunday or the one hour at church that we think soothes our souls? These questions can only be answered by each of us . My prayer is to do the best I can for the Lord, that I put everyone above me, and put there feelings ahead of mine. Have a great day, go to church worship the Lord and help people when we can,the Jaguar game will be the same if we watch or not.

God often DELAYS IN ANSWERING PRAYER. We have several instances of this in sacred Scripture. Jacob did not get the blessing from the angel until near the dawn of day-he had to wrestle all night for it. The poor woman of Syrophenicia was answered not a word for a long while. Paul besought the Lord thrice that "the thorn in the flesh" might be taken from him, and he received no assurance that it should be taken away, but instead thereof a promise that God’s grace should be sufficient for him. If thou hast been knocking at the gate of mercy, and hast received no answer, shall I tell thee why the mighty Maker hath not opened the door and let thee in? Our Father has reasons peculiar to himself for thus keeping us waiting. Sometimes it is to show his power and his sovereignty, that men may know that Jehovah has a right to give or to withhold. More frequently the delay is for our profit. Thou art perhaps kept waiting in order that thy desires may be more fervent. God knows that delay will quicken and increase desire, and that if he keeps thee waiting thou wilt see thy necessity more clearly, and wilt seek more earnestly; and that thou wilt prize the mercy all the more for its long tarrying.
