THE GLORY OF CHRIST
"The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only-Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."-- Joh_1:14.
THE GLORY of Christ is apparent, as we study the titles which are given to Him in the first chapter of St. John's Gospel.
The Word (Joh_1:1). As the words we speak reveal our character, so Jesus is the speech of the invisible God. He has uttered or declared God (Joh_14:9). The Psalmist said that the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork to the ends of the earth, but in the fairest panorama of the starry heavens, or sunset clouds, there was never such a presentation of God in nature as we have in Jesus.
